The petrified logs were both very impressive. These logs or trees are really solidified rock that have turned into colored crystal. Here you can see parts of trees that have fallen over time, and have now turned into a rock base that is very multi-colored in appearance. It is quite interesting to read how this occurred and be able to visualize on how large this forest must have been.
