Driving thru this area one is not able to see the sky, the treetops are part of it and it was almost like passing thru a tunnel. Quite impressive and worth the trip. The tree branches cover the road and sunlight has a difficult job of reaching the ground. It is not until you stop & get close that you really notice the tremendous size of the redwoods.
