Fort Lauderdale and the Hollywood area are one of North America`s true winter destinations. A very cosmopolitan area with a dense population that is growing rapidly. Beaches and nightlife help bring in the crowds, but it is really the weather in the winter that makes it so popular. Fort Lauderdale has everything, but the prices rise accordingly. Hollywood for me was just right, especially walking or biking on the Boardwalk. Both locations provide many outstanding restaurants but if you like to be real close to the action, then the boardwalk in Hollywood is where you should be.
